Our Mission
At Wilder-Med Professionals, we specialize in providing wilderness medicine training and certifications for a culturally diverse outdoor community. Our team made up of active industry professionals is committed to equipping individuals with the essential skills needed to respond to a wilderness emergency and provide long-term care in the backcountry. Through interactive training sessions and hands-on experience, we ensure our participants are well-prepared for most medical emergencies that arise.
Classes
Review our training offerings below, designed to prepare you and your team in a wilderness medical emergency. Our blend of hands-on and classroom content has everything you need to be prepared in the wild.
Basic Wilderness First Aid (BWFA)
A practical 8-hour course that explains wilderness hazards and trains you to treat injuries and other emergencies in the wilderness.
Wilderness First Aid (WFA)
A 16-hour course designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively respond to medical emergencies and injuries in remote and outdoor settings. Students will learn how to assess, treat, and manage common injuries and illnesses that may occur in wilderness environments, where access to medical help is limited or delayed. This course emphasizes hands-on training, scenario-based learning, and practical application of first aid principles in challenging outdoor conditions.

Wilderness First Responder (WFR)
​The Wilderness First Responder course is an intensive and comprehensive program designed to prepare individuals to respond to medical emergencies and provide advanced medical care in remote, wilderness, and austere environments. Participants will gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to assess, treat, and manage a wide range of medical and trauma emergencies. This course emphasizes hands-on practice, realistic scenarios, and critical thinking to ensure readiness to address medical issues in remote settings.
